Crowned In My Curls With Dippty-Do's Girls with Curls

I have learned a lot along the way of my hair journey.

I will say the best tip I have is to swap your styling products out bi-monthly depending on your curl type. I have noticed if I use ANY curl product for too long that my hair tends to get used to it. So I usually end up with curls that don’t react the way I want them to. It’s like they get immune to product. So I’ll swap it out and use my other favorite styling creams.

This is where Dippty-Do Girls with Curls line comes in to save the day. First, I'm really excited to see a line of products specifically catering to girls with curls. Second, this line is by far the most cost effective curl line out there! and since I have natural curly hair, naturally I wanted to try it!

It's formulated for curly hair to naturally eliminate frizz (already connecting with this line). This is a complete hair system that comes with the Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner Treatment, Styling cream and Gel - the entire line is alcohol and paraben-free.

My curls are a mix of 3A and 3b (known to be the most temperamental hair curl type- yay me!) color treated that is on the dry and frizzy side. My routine is fairly simple. It’s just getting the most out of your curls and keeping the definition until next wash day!

I start with cleansing my hair with the Dippity-Do Girls with Curls Curl Shampoo. This gentle moisture quenching formula is super light and won’t strip curls of their natural oils. I follow it up with Dippity-Do Girls with Curls Deep Treatment that's packed with awesomeness like avocado, coconut oil, Shea butter and vitamin E.

I only use Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie on wash day. It’s the very first product I apply to clean dripping wet hair. I use about a quarter size of product and scrunch it in. I love this because it gives my curls major hydration while prepping it for my styling products.

Next, it's all about defining curls with a featherlight cream. The Dippity-Do Curl Defining Cream has quickly become one of my favorite leave-ins! It wasn't heavy or flaky and it really moisturized my curls.

The Dippty-Do Curls Shaping Gelee is my favorite product from the line. My pickiness level when it comes to curl gel is at 1000000 - I have so many issues with curl gels. They either make my hair crunchy or they leave my hair sticky and heavy. So I was a little reluctant going in - BUT, not only did this have my curls poppin', it also didn’t flake or leave residue.

Once your curls are dry, get ready to bask in the glow of your well defined curly crown!

For second day hair and beyond I refresh my curls with Girls With Curls Curl Boosting Spray. Just a few spritz all over my curls and voilà - another bad hair day gone!

Overall, I’m so impressed with the results that I got using the The Dippty-Do Girls With Curls line. The price tag is AMAZING, you get a great amount of product and it smells delicious - I’d recommend it to all my fellow curly girls!
