The Utilitarian Trench

Trench coats are timeless staples, and ones that I think are totally worth investing in. So when the long trench trend started popping up in spring, I was all over it! I picked up this utilitarian trench because I feel in love with its nice structure and color. It’s a piece that can completely transform a dress, give length to a top, or add a little warmth when you need it.

While its actually summer here in Canada (and I’m sweating from sitting under the sun as I write this) I know there’ll still be a chilliness that arrives by about 8pm-ish. Canada’s kinda funny like that. This trend of hot and cold will stretch across the summer too, which is why I always keep some versatile outerwear - like the one I’m wearing! It's perfect for those cool summer nights — its delicate lightweight build gives the classic look of a trench without the bulk.
